Chocolate Dessert Recipes for the chocolate lovers soul. Before we dive straight into a pool of sweet chocolate we should cover a few things before finishing a recipe and realizing that it does'nt taste right.
Chocolate tends to very in quality and there is a noticeable difference in that quality. Higher quality chocolate has a nice smooth flavor and a glossiness around the chocolate.
There are different types of chocolates that are used for different things, all of which we eat of course.
Milk Chocolate
Milk chocolate is the best for eating straight without cooking it in any way. It is used in most candy bars, candy molds and sometimes those chocolate covered strawberries that we all have come to love. It has a delicate sweet and creamy/ smooth flavor. This type of chocolate clashes with many ingridients beacause the flavor is over powered quite easily, therefore it is not used for baking.
Bittersweet Chocolate
Bittersweet chocolate is an all in one chocolate and can be used for cooking, baking and eating. It has more chocolate liquor and less sugar than all other eating chocolates which gives it the strongest and darkest chocolate of all eating chocolates. It is normally used in Chocolate Dessert Recipes like Chocolate Ganache.
Sweet and Semi Sweet Chocolate
Both are are used for baking, cooking, eating and are considered dark chocolate. They are very similar to bittersweet but the sugar content is higher and the chocolate liquor content is lower which makes them both sweeter than bittersweet chocolate. Semi sweet chocolate is used in some of the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies you can find. Sweet chocolate is used in recipes similar to Chocolate Pecan Pie.
White Chocolate
White chocolate is not really considered a chocolate because there are no cocoa solids, but it does contain cocoa butter which gives it the faint chocolate flavor. White chocolate is used for baking, cooking, and molds for eating. It is use in many different Chocolate Dessert Recipes such as white chocolate fudge, white chocolate chip cookies and white chocolate bread pudding.
Cocoa Powder
Cocoa Powder is made through a process that squeezes out the cocoa butter untill there is only 1/4 of the cocoa butter left then its is ground into a powder. Cocoa powder is used in many baking recipes and occasionally in certain drinks.
